49th Demetria festival
The Dimitria festival, founded in 1966 and named after the city’s patron saint of St.Demetrius has focused on a wide range of events including music, theatre, dance, local happenings, and exhibitions (Wikipedia). ‘Beauty is born in the dark’ is the name of the exhibition – part of the 49th Dimitria festival (Oct. 2014) – and roumelight participates with the Wheelight Classic installation.
2015 was the year of Greek-Russian friendship and a barrage of exhibitions including Greek and Russian artists took place in the two countries. Thessaloniki and kaluga (Moscow) were two of the main cities that hosted these exhibitions. Roumelight participates with the 2Headed Eagles-4B installation, inspired from the Byzantine Empire.
